
Prof. Michalis Xenos

Professor Michalis Xenos is tenured professor at the Computer Engineering and Informatics Department of the University of Patras, director of the Software Division, and director of the Software Quality and Human-Computer Interaction Laboratory. He has participated in over 60 research and development projects in the areas of software engineering, software quality, human-computer interaction, and educational technologies. His current research interests include, inter alia, Software Quality, Human-Computer Interaction, Human-Robot Interaction, and Educational Technologies. He has authored or co-authored 8 books and over 230 papers in international journals and conferences, which have received over 5,300 citations (h-index=35, i10-index=91). He has given 4 keynote speeches at international conferences.
Ass. Prof. Maria Rigou

Dr Maria Rigou holds a Diploma in Computer Engineering, an MSc in Computer Science, a Master of Arts from the Hellenic Open University, and a PhD from the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics. Since 2024, she is an Associate Professor at the Department of Management Science and Technology of the University of Patras. She has extensive teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate level and also serves as an invited lecturer and tutor at the University of Patras and the Hellenic Open University. Her research interests include web mining, user modelling, human–computer interaction, and educational games. She has published more than 120 scientific papers and has over 20 years of experience in managing national and international R&D IT projects, including Erasmus+ projects such as SEnDIng, DTAM, SMACITE, and GenAISA..
Marianna Stamati

Marianna Stamati holds a degree in Administration and Economic Sciences specializing in Business Administration (Marketing – Management) and a Master’s in Education and Technologies in Distance Learning Systems (Hellenic Open University). She has over 17 years of experience at the e-Comet Lab of the Hellenic Open University, managing coordination, organization, and administrative tasks. From 2011 to 2023, she headed the Department of Financial, Administrative, and Technical Services at e-Comet Lab. Marianna’s professional background includes extensive and continuous involvement in several European Programs (including Minerva, Socrates/Lingua, LLP – KA3, Erasmus+ KA2, Erasmus+ KA3, CS4HS Google, Interreg V-A, Horizon etc) and National Programs as well, in field of Project Management and Financial Issues, while supporting research teams throughout the full project lifecycle..
Andreas Mallas

Andreas Mallas is a PhD candidate at the Computer Engineering & Informatics Department of the University of Patras. He graduated from the Department of Mathematics of the University of Patras and holds a Master’s degree in Computer science and engineering at the Computer Engineering & Informatics Department of the University of Patras. He designed and developed Diagram⊷atic an environment used to gamify the in-classroom activity of designing diagrams during a lecture.
Semira Maria Evangelou

Mrs. Semira Maria Evangelou holds a diploma (5 years Engineering degree with an Integrated M.Sc.) from the department of Computer Engineering & Informatics from the University of Patras. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate of the University of Patras. Her research interests are mainly focused on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). She is experienced in Usability Evaluation of Interactive Systems.
Dimosthenis Minas

Dimosthenis Minas is a PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Engineering & Informatics from the University of Patras. He graduated from the Department of Computer Engineering & Informatics of the University of Patras (2022). He has worked as software engineer – web developer in the private sector (2021-2022). His current research interests include Human Computer Interaction and Advanced Information Systems.
Angelos Fotopoulos

Angelos Fotopoulos is a PhD candidate at the Computer Engineering & Informatics Department of the University of Patras. He graduated from the Department of Computer Engineering & Informatics of the University of Patras in 2021. Following his graduation, he gained industry experience as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer in the private sector from 2021 to 2023. His research interests primarily lie in the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and the Metaverse.
Eleftheria Lito Michanetzi

Eleftheria Lito Michanetzi is a PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Engineering & Informatics at the University of Patras. Her master’s thesis was focused on human reactions to negative commenting with the use of physiological sensors. She is interested in Human-Computer Interaction and mainly in the use of sensors.
Vrettis Panagiotis

Panagiotis Vrettis is a seasoned game developer with extensive experience in Unity and Unreal game engines, advanced skills in C/C++, C#, and Python, and a broad background in game design.
Graduated with a Master of Science on Computer Engineering and Informatics from the University of Patras in 2022.
Worked as a Designer and Developer of Serious Games on multiple Erasmus+ projects at the University of Patras since 2022. Worked as a student assistant at Utrecht University.
Prokopia Vlachogianni

Prokopia Vlachogianni is a primary school teacher with 12 years of professional experience in Primary and 6 years in Higher Education. She holds a PhD in Educational Technology, a Master’s degree in Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and ICT Didactics, and a Master’s degree in Special Education. She has experience in designing innovative learning environments, including Erasmus initiatives. Her main research interests are Educational Technology, e-learning, usability, personality traits, and learning analytics.
Roumpas Konstantinos

Konstantinos Roumpas is a PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Engineering & Informatics from the University of Patras. He graduated from the Physics Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2022). He has worked as an LX Designer and e-learning developer in the private sector (2021-2024). His research interests include Human-Computer Interaction and Educational Technologies.
