The University of Patras participates in the new research project CityGo: Challenge-Oriented Collaborative Online Communities in the Paradigm of Sustainable City. This is a project that lasts 20 months, funded by Erasmus + and centrally coordinated by Vilnius College of Technologies and Design (VTDK), which is a state-owned higher education institution in Lithuania. For the University of Patras the project is coordinated by Professor Michalis Xenos of the Department Of Computer and Informatics Engineering of the University of Patras.
The project is also attended by the ISMAI University Institute in Portugal, the University of Pardubice in the Czech Republic, the University of Flensburg in Germany and the BiaĆystok University of Technology in Poland. The CityGo project aims to develop methodology and material to enable higher education institutions (HEIs) to offer quality and engaging ways of learning based on problem-solving in a digital environment. During this project, the consortium will develop an effective methodology teaching / learning in collaborative online communities, where students will be involved in solving specific social issues Challenges for a Sustainable City.
The project started in January 2022 and within May 2022 the inaugural meeting will take place in Lithuania.
